Chapter Nineteen

Reina

We lay in stillness and Dom strokes my hair like he did in the basement. Long, slow slides of his hand over my head and down my shoulders to my back. I follow his movement with my mind, eyes closed, until I finally feel like I can breathe again.

I might nod off for a moment, but Dom never leaves my side. Finally, when I’m starting to feel more like myself again, I roll onto my back and laugh softly.

“You find something funny, love?”

I shrug. “I’m just…this is just so fun. I never thought that I would be able to be someone who got to play these games. I’ve always dreamed about it, but I didn’t know how to make it happen. You just…did it. You knew what I wanted and you gave it to me.”

Dom is watching me with a playful expression on his face. “I’m happy to please.”

He hands me my wine as I lay on his bed, still breathless after going to the bathroom to clean myself up.

“Thanks.” I sit up to take it from him. As soon as I have the long-stemmed glass in my grip, he reaches below me and lifts me into his arms like a baby.

“Dom,” I laugh as he carries me away.

“I’ve got somewhere else I want you to see.” He walks us down a long hallway to the other side of the house. When he turns into a doorway, I’m transported into another world.

Windows line all the walls making the room almost look like an enclosed porch. The ceiling and floor are cedar paneling like the inside of a sauna and a beautiful handmade looking rug in deep jewel blue and cream feels soft under my feet. Decadent cream-colored couches piled high with pillows in all shades of sand and ocean line three of the walls. In the center of the room is a rectangular table that looks to be made of the same wood as the ceiling, and holds a small gathering of clear glass candle holders which Dom lights one at a time after he sets me down on the soft sofa. The amber glow of the flames joins the silver of the light from the full moon reflecting off the ocean and makes the whole room glow.

“Dom,” I say breathlessly. The view from the living room was incredible, but this is on a whole other level.

“This house used to be a high-end furnished vacation rental. When I bought it, they just left all the stuff here. The whole place looked just like this. I never thought all that much of it, until I started to think about bringing you here. Then all I could think of was what I wanted to do to you in every room.”

I laugh. “What do you want to do to me on this luxurious white couch?” I ask, spreading myself out sexily and batting my eyelashes.

“I want to curl you up like this,” he settles under my legs and pulls me close, “and hear everything about you.
